Background:Breast tissue is one of the major organs in women who have abnormal estrogen levels, and this can be used to identify endometrial tissue. To improve the prognosis of hormone receptor positive (HR+) women with breast tissue.
Objectives:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of premarin in postmenopausal women with breast tissue (PMS).
Methods:We conducted a retrospective study of 16 PMS patients in whom HR+ had been diagnosed with estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast tissue. Inclusion criteria included postmenopausal women with breast tissue diagnosed with estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast tissue (n=14) and those who had postmenopausal women with abnormal estrogen levels (n=10). Exclusion criteria included use of unknown estrogen receptor status (ER+ or ER-) and concomitant medications (n=6).
Results:We analyzed the data of 16 patients with ER+ breast tissue (n=14) who were treated with estradiol-alone, premarin-alone, and conjugated estradiol for 21 months. The most common treatment regimen was a single dose of premarin (n=1) and a daily dose of estradiol (n=4). All patients had a mean age of 45.3 years (range, 26 to 89 years), had an average duration of 5.3 years (range, 2 to 19 years), and were female (N=9). A total of 17 patients were treated with premarin for 21 months. Six patients (10%) discontinued a dose of estradiol-alone, and 11 discontinued taking a single dose of estradiol-alone (N=6). The mean duration of follow-up was 4.3 months (range, 1.3 to 11.7 months).
Conclusions:In women with estrogen receptor-positive breast tissue, premarin is effective in maintaining progestin and estrogen levels, and it can improve the prognostic role of estradiol in postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor-positive breast tissue.
